Our mission is to form the whole child: heart, soul, mind, and strength, in a thoroughly Catholic,
academically rigorous education, in support of parents as primary educators.

PHILOSOPHY
Christ’s call to love the Lord God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:15) is a call for love and service from the whole human person. Our mission to form the whole child, heart, soul, mind, and strength, is a response to that call. We see modern secular culture pulling further away from God and eroding of the basic principles that make us truly free and happy as His children. We see the urgency of providing a program not only of academic rigor to prepare kids for a competitive world, but one which looks at each individual child as a unique person, created in God’s image and likeness, and called to His service in a way no other child is called. We see the vital importance of an authentic Catholic culture, a truly rich heritage, to nurture hearts and elevate minds to what is truly noble and good. St. William of York Catholic School is proud to join in the “New Evangelization” of Blessed Pope John Paul II and unite ourselves to Pope Benedict XVI in the wonderful mission of Catholic education for the 21st Century.
