The Accelerated Reader Program was designed as an reading enrichment program for grades kindegarten through eighth.

Here's how it works:

1.The student selects a book to read. Check http://renlearn.com to see if the book is in the Accerated Reader Program.

2. When he/she finishes reading the book, take the quiz.

3. Acquire points for great prizes. (Take a look at our AR bulletin board located by the computer lab for your child's point status)

Parents should encourage their children to select books that are interesting and entertaining to their child. However, be selective by choosing award winning books that are recommended by educators and librarians. Check for award winning books on http://readingrockets.org.

Their are 100,000 quizzes in our accelerated reader software. Have your child check to see if their is a quiz available before they begin reading or parents may check online by going to http://renlearn.com then the quiz store and type in the title or author. Information on your child's reading points will be sent home periodically by the teacher.
