St. William of York Catholic School alumni are strong students, good and faithful members of our community, and positive contributors to our school. They come to us well prepared for high school, work hard, and achieve many of their personal and academic goals.
—Sister Mary Jordan Hoover, O.P. Principal of St. John Paul the Great Catholic High School.
This is Cef Manandic, the father of Christi and AJ Manandic. Both attended SWOY from 2009 to 2012. I want to thank you and your staff for teaching my daughters the Catholic faith and improving their reading and math skills. Christi is a senior and has been taking AP courses in math and social studies. AJ is also taking AP courses in English and history courses. Your teachings made my job as a parent very easy. You groomed them for success. I made a right decision of sending them to SWOY. Thank you again. Please send my regards to following teachers that are still there: Mrs. Carrington, Mrs. Deathrage, and Mrs. Aslinger.
When we relocated to the Stafford area we looked for a school that would be more than just a place for academics. We also desired a learning environment that would uphold the Catholic Church’s teachings with integrity. We are confident that St. William of York Catholic School is that place for our three children. We are pleased and confident that they will receive an exemplary education while being surrounded by traditional Catholic culture ideals.

This is my child’s second year here, and we have been very satisfied. Great teachers and staff, and the principal is very accessible and approachable. Good variety of school activities, both inside and outside of the classroom. Very dependable after school care with teachers who do more than just “watch” the kids.

We are a military family who have moved our children to many different schools. St. William of York School and Parish have been a blessing to our entire family. The authentic Catholic Culture and education that this school offers is excellent. The teachers are enthusiastic, readily available to parents and are dedicated to every student. The Administration also has an “open door” policy and are easily approachable and helpful at any time. St. William of York Catholic School truly is a family. The sports and after school activities are rapidly growing and can only continue to succeed. Our children have thrived at St. William of York!

Our children have attended the preschool and the elementary school at St. William of York for the last four years and we have been very happy with their academic and spiritual growth as well as our experience as part of the school family. It has been an excellent school for our children.

Our family perspective of both the parish and school of St. William of York is “to whom else would we go? You have the words of eternal life.” This school and parish offers a rare opportunity for learning truth, love and the beauty of the Catholic Church’s teachings. We’ve seen the school grow as a community and improve in academics and extracurricular activities over the past six years, and with the obvious dedication of our teachers, staff and administration we expect continued success for the school.
